Yahoo! Movies has debuted a new Green Lantern trailer! This one has been made to preview for upcoming movies being released in 3-D. The narration by Tomar-Re in the beginning is a fantastic touch. It just keeps getting better.
A new page attached to the main Green Lantern movie site called Infinite Oath is allowing fans to upload videos of themselves reciting the GL oath. I think this is a really good way to get fans involved and also to add something unique to the marketing of the film. I just uploaded mine a few minutes ago and am waiting to see it go up on the main site. If I find it, I will update you guys with a link.
Warner Bros. has released two new images from the set of Green Lantern. The second one definitely looks like the upclose shot of Hal reciting the oath as his eyes turn white.
Check out these awesome little guys I found out about through Blog Of Oa. Mimoco is releasing Tomar-Re, Sinestro, Kilowog, and Hal Jordan themed USB drives for a limited time. These are really nice but with a $23 price tag it's a bit hard to actually want one. I'd go with Tomar-Re if I had to pick at least one of them.
A 9th TV spot for Green Lantern has aired and there are a few quick shots of some new footage added in. The CGI continues to improve with each new spot and trailer that we get and will be worked on up the last minute. One month to go now!
In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.
Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is an all-new DC Universe Animated Original Movie that weaves six interlocking stories of the Green Lantern Corps’ rich mythology around preparations for an attack by an ancient enemy. As the battle approaches, Hal Jordan (voiced by Nathan Fillion, Castle) mentors new recruit Arisia (Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men) in the history of the Green Lantern Corps, telling tales of Avra (the first Green Lantern) and several of Hal’s comrades – including Abin Sur, Kilowog, Laira and Mogo. In the end, Arisia must rise to the occasion to help Hal, Sinestro and the entire Green Lantern Corps save the universe from the destructive forces of Krona.
Penned by comic book luminaries Geoff Johns, Dave Gibbons, Peter J. Tomasi, Eddie Berganza, Alan Burnett, Todd Casey and Michael Green & Marc Guggenheim, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights will be distributed June 7 by Warner Home Video as part of the build up to the release of the highly anticipated live action film, Green Lantern, in theatres June 17th.
Credit to our friends over at Blog Of Oa for pointing this out, the release of the Green Lantern Soundtrack has been pushed back from May 24th to June 14th.
The track list has yet to be revealed but the cover art was release thru WaterTower Music, a subsidiary of Warner Bros Music.
The move actually aligns the release of the soundtrack to come out the same week as the film drops. Check out the cover art to the left of the article.
I haven't been to any of the Six Flags in years, but I do like me a good theme park. Six Flags Great Adventure & Wild Safari in NJ and Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Adventure & Wild Safari in NJ
Standing 154 feet tall and reaching speeds of 63 mph, Green Lantern will rank among the tallest and fastest roller coasters of its kind anywhere in the world. Unlike traditional seated coasters, Green Lantern allows you to stand throughout the entire course of the ride that delivers a ride experience unlike any other. The two minute and thirty second thrill begins with a pulse-quickening 45 degree vertical drop before rocketing you through five inversions – including a 121-foot-tall loop, a 103-foot dive loop, a 72-foot inclined loop and twisted double corkscrews.
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Fearless riders will brave the ride sitting in eight-person vehicles — four abreast and back-to-back, each rotating independently. The two minute thrill begins with riders going up the 107-foot left hill before spinning their way down through 828-feet of twisted vertical track, featuring three, 360-degree head-over-hill spins.Fearless riders will brave the ride sitting in eight-person vehicles — four abreast and back-to-back, each rotating independently.
