James Newton Howard Set To Compose Green Lantern

Green Lantern finally has a composer named and it couldn't be a better choice. Film Music Reporter has revealed that James Newton Howard will be giving the GL world its soundtrack. He's most widely known for his work with Hans Zimmer on the score's for Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. He worked with director Martin Campbell in 2000's Vertical Limit so this will be a reunion for the two.

His work also includes some pretty notable films; Signs, Unbreakable, Sixth Sense, King Kong, I Am Legend and oddly enough The Green Hornet.

I can't wait to hear what he comes up with during our first scenes on Oa. Green Lantern hits theatres in 2D and 3D on June 17th.
